How long have you been waiting on the first buyer? When was the last communication?

I'd probably send one last email with a deadline, and let them know I'd be moving on to the next buyer if I didn't hear anything by that time. People suck.

I'm thinking of getting this photo printed in this medium(8x10).

There's a mixed-media art exhibit coming up that I think would be a good place to experiment with stuff, so I'm thinking about options other than just print/frame or canvas.
Following up - I got the photo as a metal print. I was very disappointed with the results, and wouldn't recommend mpix's metal prints based on the results.

The super-glossy finish made it seem like they printed it on a high gloss paper and just pasted it to the metal - you wouldn't know it was a metal print unless you looked at the sides. It also looked smudgy as hell - as if it was printed from a JPG with 50% quality almost.

Oh well, luckily I have other framed prints ready.

Was it inkjet on aluminum or true dye sublimation?

got another message in Flickr, anyone else get this?

Hi Ken,

You take beautiful, authentic photos and I'd love to add some of your Flickr photos to CrowdMedia's collection in a profile made just for you, with your copyright and your attribution.

CrowdMedia is a new place where thousands of photographers like you reveal how they see our world and get their photos discovered by publishers.

To help you get more visibility, we might push some of your photos to editorial publishers (no commercial use).
If they select your photo, they pay a fee and we share half the revenue with you through Paypal. There is no work for you, we take care of everything.

You automatically get a link back to your Flickr with your CrowdMedia profile. And you can add a link to your personal website as well in your CrowdMedia profile.

It is always free for photographers. There is no obligation. You can opt-out when you want in 2 clicks.

If you want to try, all you have to do is answer Yes and I will send your photos’ link in crowdmedia.co when it is done.

Thanks,

Martin

To be clear I'm talking about their "modern metal" thing, not the prints on the Fuji metallic paper. The metallic paper prints I've gotten from them have all been fantastic. The Modern Metal print is an overly glossy abomination.

That 10-18 is the new STM series of lenses, pretty cool that it's reviewing better than the 10-22, which costs what like $400 more. THAT, is innovation.
