Bon Echo Pic(s)

SS and I just got back from a long weekend canoe trip to Bon Echo National Park (http://www.ontarioparks.com/english/bone.html) in Ontario. I thought I'd share some pics with you guys, but I'll have to upload them as I process them from RAW. For now there's just one image, but I'll upload more as I get some time.

Thanks Dom! It took about 15 tries to get that shot. Waves or bugs kept disturbing the scene.

Ummmm..... wow. I like that one A LOT! Excellent work Mr. Dan.

As they say in the business... "that one would sell."

BTW - I'm picturing your first coffee table book: "Reeds Rule" by Dan Martin.

I can't help but feel somewhat responsible for Dan's photographic success.

I could send you an 8x12 in a mail tube, but a frame would be pretty expensive to ship.

I wouldn't have been able to take it without you.

Great pic Dan, looking forward for other pics you'll be posting.

One concern, did you take your equipment on the canoe? If so, weren't you afraid of an accidental water damage?

Yes, all of our gear was first packed in ziploc bags then they were loaded into a heavy-duty SealLine Dry Bag like this:

Everything was bone dry for the whole trip and I highly recommend SealLine if you're ever going on an excursion with water sensitive gear. The bags are extremely rugged and there's no chance they'll leak.

Great pics... but what's the white spot in the sky on the end of day pic, it's kinda distracting?

It's still distracting being there since there is no definition of a moon, but I really like the Sepia Canopy pic, can I get a larger version of it?

It's hard to define the moon when you shoot at 10mm. It's visible in a print, but at this size it's just a spec.

Here's a 1024px wide version of the canopy shot. I don't like posting larger than that, but if you would like a wallpaper or something, PM me.
