Really cool images!

I was just thinking today about the difference in perspective when things are looked at from overhead. It reminded me of the NG photo posted somewhere on here of the camels in the desert, where really only their shadows were visible. I love having a perception of reality challenged, and some of the "off angle" photos really make me see things from a completely different perspective (figuratively).

So this may seem like a dumb question, but Is he well known? Does he get paid in advanced to travel around the world and shoot from helicopters? Or does he pay out of pocket and profit years later from book sales?
