Awesome cars! Do you find the 5D's 3fps burst rate enough for this kind of shooting?

Good question...I'm really hoping they'll bump that up when they replace it. I think that would make it pretty much irresistible to me.

^^Yup. Outside of its increased size over my 20D, the 5fps would be hard to give up for the sports shooting I love to do. There's times when I wish I had even more. As is, the 5D is very appealing (and expensive) anyway.

BTW, I sat next to a local newspaper shooter when I took the pic in my avatar, and she was shooting a 1Ds in burst mode, which I believe is 10fps. I've fired machine guns that sounded slower than that

Sorry for the mg7726!

Damn. That's just I agree that at least 5 would seems almost mandatory at that price point. 3 is less than ideal (to say the least) for the horses!

(and yes, apologies mg!)

thanks. personally, the fps sucks on this camera. i can't sequence sports shots or a golf swing. autofocus is good, but not even match of my 1Dmk2 (given due to the different class it's in). 5D excels are other areas, but i will be keeping my 1D.

in the end, after you use a 1D-series, you don't go back! (yes, i am spoiled and will pick up the 1D3 this year, heh).
