first time out with the Tilt Shift, unfortunately, I wasn't about to shift down because there was something there I didn't want frame.
I wish Vancouver had more "culture" (architectural wise) like Chicago

Just a random from the Cherry Blossom Festival on Saturday. I didn't have much time for shooting with a 4 month old in tow.

it was my first time assisting in a full fledge wedding, meaning... starting with the bride getting ready all the way to AFTER the cake cutting, bride tossing the bouquet/groom tossing the garter, people start dancing etc etc. It was a long ass day, and I REALLY come to appreciate what wedding photogs go through on a regular basis. People whine and bitch about the cost of wedding photography have ZERO idea what goes on, they think it's just snapping pictures at the ceremony with professional gear, but there's a hell of a lot more than that. Thank GOD I don't need to do the post processing (I'm only doing some for myself/own portfolio), since the head photographer (and everyone else) shoots Canon, and I'm on Sony, it would be best if one person did all the PP to get the colors matching.
btw, it was a team of 4, and at the beginning of the day, it was the head photog and I at the bride's house, and the other two at wherever the groom/groomsmen were at.
Truthfully? After getting a taste of it, I don't think I'd do it full time nor be the main/head photographer for weddings. I don't mind assisting here and there because I DO NOT want the responsibility
If anything, I'll stick with portraits, engagements, headshots etc etc

Yes - it is a TON of work! I always felt a little hit-by-a-truck the next day. My longest was 16 hours at FOUR locations. Nucking futs. I didn't get paid nearly enough for that one. I got a wedding inquiry in my email a couple of weeks ago and felt a little pang. I miss it, but at the same time I don't.
