yes I was... it just has a learning curve. but there is a general consensus out there that its not a sharp lens. and that is what I seek to quell.

its weird how this is not symmetrical. I mean, I was standing exactly in the center, and the center line is perfectly in the center of the photo, going straight up. yet the sides of the photo are not symmetrical. does anyone know what's going on here? I'm stumped!

I don't think it's dead center either. A smaller aperture, a tripod, and longer exposure would make that spot one to return to.

You can always do a transform in PS to force symmetry. LR3 also has basic features to let you do that.

I love that rusted chain... you can almost hear the water and the sea birds when you look at it... where did you shoot this one and the rope?
