I had some in my cart yesterday, but they stopped taking orders before I could check out

Just got mine.

Since they were only charging $0.01 each, I ordered two Roscolux and two cinegel samples. With shipping (the majority of cost), the whole thing cost just over $5.

what are these and why do i need them?

They're colored "plastic" that you can use on your flash to change the color or the light it emits. You don't need it, but it's something to play with. The link above is only to sample swatches, but they are large enough to cover the flash. Really, they are supposed to be used to chose colors for larger lights (for stage, tv, studio lights).

Then you may as well add to your order. They only let you order two of each, but it only adds about $0.60 to the total over ordering just one.
