Hope your insurance is ready for an ass reaming. That single piece cast structure that scooter boy keeps bleating on about is not cheap to fix.

Oh I know. Even better...idiot only has the bare minimum of coverage required for CA...BUT they are still liable for all damages. So, I hope once my insurance makes me whole again they sue the fuck out of them and make their life hell.

Is CA not a no fault state? It would surprise the hell out of me if they weren't.

CA is a no fault state....excccccept in rear ending. Rear ending party is always at fault 99% of the time. They've already been deemed at fault in my situation by my insurance.

I thought no fault just means you can't go after the at fault party for damages exceeding their insurance. Any excess has to get eaten by your insurance.

not my understanding based on what I read. But that’s the fight for my insurance to deal with. I don’t need the stress.

Damn. Best of luck man. I'd sue for diminished value as well.

I dont know how all that is going to work...but I am about to sign with a lawyer. Been in a lot of pain/discomfort the last few days. Even reached out to my PT today who had a cancellation so I went to see him. And told him everything that happened. He referred me to this law firm they do a lot of work with, and I gave them call and I liked who I spoke with. And I tried speaking with someone last week who I definitively did not like. So, fingers crossed.

Model Y was the best selling car in the world in 2023. Everyone seems to have conveniently forgotten this fact. Harbinger of things to come. The future is sliding towards us faster than most people imagined. .
