Rattles

I picked up my WDP/Parchment yesterday. Didn't hit a bumpy road till this morning. I have a rattle along the headliner where it meets the windshield near the left edge of the console/right end of the driver's visor. Anyone else notice this?

Yes, I posted this in my 11 day review and my comments to the headliner maker (sticky at the top) on a-tl.com (not here).

The headliner is in direct contact with the windshield, which will rub and make a clicking sound as the car flexes (every car will flex slightly, and makes the sound as the two matarials rub).

I temporarily put a piece of foam between the headliner and windshield which stopped it until I bring it to the dealer.

If you notice, this is the only area it is in contact.

Here is my 11 day review thread: http://www.acura-tsx.com/forums/show...&threadid=3780

You may want to check out my other problems as you may have similar ones. my last four digits of my VIN are in the high 1600's, what is yours?

Good luck!

And I thought it was just an early build issue. Will let you know, it goes back next week.

Thanks RJC, I knew that going into getting the new TL, that is why I am not going crazy over it, and flaming about my 14 or so issues (but yes, I am picky).

I have gotten calmer with time.

Thanks again.

I took it to the dealer and they are going to run a felt strip behind the headliner.

It seems to have worked. Apparently the MDX had the same problem.

Broken clip

stlgasman,

Dealer today looked at the problem and found that it was not properly attached to some of the mounting clips and also one mounting clip was broken and replaced. Will let you know if this is the issue or not.

good luck!

Yep, driver had to adjust the window regulator in my car to fix it, did the trick!

I have a DMM/5AT/Navi with a build in the 3300's. My nits in order of annoyance are:

1) Rattle in center speaker on dash..stops when I put my hand on the speaker cover
2) Wind noise from driver's side window...not sure exactly where this is coming from, but have seen this complain elsewhere in the forums. I've tried pressing down on different trim pieces, but can't get it to go away
3) Occassional rattle from the glovebox...think I need the striker adjusted
4) Steering wheel slightly off center to the right...why do cars get delivered with this condition? Happened on my '01 MDX.

Minor complaints no doubt..love the car overall. Got to admit the center speaker rattle really raises my blood pressure though. My worry about taking it in is the mechanic is going to poke and prod around that speaker cover and the dash, getting grease marks and potentially scratches or worse in the area. Would prefer to be able to make it go away myself, but not sure about trying to pry that cover off and reseating it.

I have a rattle in the drivers' seat belt assembly. It sounds like the plastic cover is rattling. It's not very loud but unfortunately, it's right next to my left ear. Anyone else experienced this? It seems to happen only on coarse roads (which are plentiful here in Seattle).

Also, the sunroof cover rattles if I leave it open. If I keep it closed there's no problem, very weird. Kinda sucks because I like to be able to look up at the sky occasionally.
