Pinstripes Anyone?

My local dealer is pinstriping all of them. I'm not sure I like it. Nor the gold package.

They can take that crap off pretty easy. I believe the rear wing is the only thing that they can't . If they will not do it for you, go somewhere else.

That's why I specifically told my dealer when I placed my deposit that I did not want anything added to the car (door trims, splash guards,...). It turned out that mine was the only one that escaped their greedy hands. I found out afterwards that they were planning to charge $900+ for their protection package. What a bunch of crock!

I was offered a pinstripe (at no additional cost), but declined it. Closer to the arrival date, I'll remind the dealer that I DO NOT want a pinstripe.

The pin stripes suck. Courtesy Acura in Lexington, KY has pin stripped them all.

Call me stupid, but, WTF is this about?

On spud's thread about his car getting keyed, I joked that I'd repaint my car "pinstripes," but I didn't know "pinstripes" had anything to do with cars.

I guess you were thinking of a white background with blue stripes when you wrote that?

I didn't think it meant anything else.

pretty much a sticker in the shape/design of a long line that you can stick to the side of your car...just an auto accessory, i've never seen one pinstrip that looked good on any car, they just look tacky to me

Pikes Peak Acura in Colorado Springs is adding a $1,995 "Rocky Mountain Protection Package & Adjustment."

Bet you can guess what they're adjusting.

Why does this car need pinstriping? It would add too many lines. Eww. Might as well add the side molding, with a pinstripe right above it, then the character line of the car.

Thanks. Yeah, I guess I've seen those, but not really, because I can't bear to look at them.

Wait! I thought we were talking about pinstripes on the TSX! :o

I guess it's not out of the question, then. I've seen pinstripes on previous gen. TL's.

I assumed TL because this is on the TL forum.

Yeah. I use the "view new posts" option, and I don't always check and see what forum stuff is in before I post. My mistake. :P

Me2, and I don't blame you.
When I started reading this thread, I had no idea which car it was about (I've learned not to assume on here), so then I checked what forum it was.

When I start a thread, or anytime I think it wouldn't be clear which car I'm talking about, I try to make a point of saying in the post itself whether it's about the TSX or the TL. It seems a lot of other people do that too. When someone doesn't -- especially if it's about a car other than the TSX, even the TL -- it's confusing.
