Whoever is running that site should be fired then. Going to the official Jeep site and dealer lots tells a far different story.

I wouldn't say fired...but I agree they need to get their shit up to speed.

You can't even build a 15 Charger on Dodges site yet. And those are out on the lots...I drove one.

I hope the masking tape holding the wheel flares on is an option and not standard.

I really don't think that's a prototype...it's some asshat who wants views on youtube.

Actual test drivers aren't going to act like that on public streets let alone with a completely uncamo'ed car. Also, did you see the shot of the person driving it? Looked like some rich kid with a high powered Jeep.

Also, no supercharger whine and that bumper looks awful.

Arguable. But you never know these days. It's an entirely different ballgame. From the LOOKS, it seems plausible its a prototype.

I definitely like the looks of that. The flares look great on it minus the masking tape.

Was he in Europe for those tests?

I'm not saying that a hellcat Jeep isn't coming (it is, they'd be retarded to not make it), it's just not that car.

recently he was in another hellcat, but wouldnt let us see what he was driving.

Post Trackhawk Version Speculation and Pricing

From here: Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk: 0-60 In 2.7 Seconds, $79,999?

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles [NYSE:FCAU] has given the Hellcat-powered Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk the green light as Project K.

But this model may be a rare bird sold for possibly only the 2018 model year, before the Hellcats and HEMI are killed off from the SRT lineup for the 2019 model year.

Our sources tell us that this week Fiat Chrysler Automobiles showed dealers the new Grand Cherokee Trackhawk.

According to sources, the general response upon seeing and hearing the Hellcat-powered Jeep roll on stage was, "That thing sounds insane!"

Performance figures we continue to hear do indeed sound absolutely insane, too—nearly unbelievable. With 700 horsepower from the supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 and all-wheel drive, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk can supposedly run 0-60 mph in just 2.7 seconds.

To provide that kind of performance, the Trackhawk model will be put on a diet to the tune of a rumored 500 pounds courtesy of aluminum suspension, two-piece brake rotors, and more.

A bit piece of the puzzle is price. Sources are telling us an unconfirmed MSRP of $79,999. Whether Jeep will be able to stop dealers from charging well over $100,000 for a supposed one-year special will be a sight to see.

100k isn't necessarily a bad price, even if 20k of that is a markup. Since these will only built for one year, I'm sure they will become collector cars and will appreciate over time

All speculation and rumor with no official announcement from Dodge.

The whole "killing off the HEMI" is the suspect to this article. And I don't see it happening.

I stand corrected from a much more reliable source. There was a dealer meeting this morning and the srt trackhawk was announced with a 0-60 of 3.5.

So I still find the post above a source to be suspect.

Also announced a dodge barracuda vert. The next gen charger and the long rumored grand wagoneer.

Also a possible smaller Alfa based challenger.

They are. All product cycles in every American line up was pushed 2 years for just that. All new grand Cherokee, charger, 300, etc was pushed one to two model year to focus on bring Alfa back to the states.

707 Horsepower Jeep Grand Cherokee Hellcat Confirmed For 2017
Somebody asked Jeep CEO Michael Manley point-blank if he could put the (in)famous 707 horsepower Hellcat engine in a Jeep Grand Cherokee. His response: “Not only can I put a Hellcat motor in one of those for you, I’m going to bring that to market before the end of 2017.”

Really sad news. Jeep Grand Cherokee rollaway.

Anton Yelchin's Jeep Was Included In Rollaway Recall Linked To 41 Injuries

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that the car that rolled into and killed Star Trek actor Anton Yelchin was a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, a model that Fiat Chrysler recently recalled after its unconventional gear shifter led to several documented rollaway accidents.

Yelchin, 27, died in an unusual and horrifying incident early Sunday morning when his SUV—a Jeep Grand Cherokee—was left in neutral and apparently rolled down his driveway when he was outside of it, crushing him into a mailbox.

At the time it wasn’t clear whether Yelchin’s car was a 2014 or 2015 Grand Cherokee—the two model years covered by Fiat Chrysler’s voluntary shifter recall. But this morning, LAPD officials confirmed to Jalopnik that Yelchin’s SUV was a 2015 Grand Cherokee, meaning it was among the vehicles covered by Fiat Chrysler’s shifter recall from April.

The investigation into Yelchin’s death is ongoing and authorities have not determined the exact cause of the wreck, but this is almost certainly something they will be looking into.

Fiat Chrysler said in a recall notice that the shifter confusion had led to 41 injuries. Those injuries resulted from incidents like the following, which were reported on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s complaints database, emphasis ours.

MASSAPEQUA, NY:

THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE SHIFTING TO THE PARK POSITION, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO STOP AND CRASHED INTO A GARAGE DOOR.

OLIVE HILL, KY:THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE PARKED IN A PARKING LOT, THE CONTACT’S VEHICLE ROLLED AWAY AND ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE REAR OF THE CONTACT’S VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND TOWED TO AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES.
GRESHAM, ORTHE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE THE ELECTRONIC SHIFTER WAS IN PARK, THE VEHICLE INDEPENDENTLY MOVED BACKWARDS AND STRUCK ANOTHER VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE MECHANIC WHO STATED THAT THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE BUMPER WAS DAMAGED AND NEEDED TO BE REPAIRED.

WAVERLY HALL, GAVEHICLE WAS PUT IN PARK. I EXITED THE CAR. WIFE WAS SITTING IN CAR IN PASSENGER SEAT. CAR WAS NOT MOVING. WIFE EXITED CAR TO RETRIEVE ITEM FROM HOUSE. RETURNED TO FIND VEHICLE DOWN THE HILL AND IN THE WOODS.

BOWLING GREEN, KYTHE JEEP’S ELECTRONIC TRANSMISSION DID NOT FULLY SHIFT IN TO THE “PARK” POSITION WHILE STILL RUNNING. MY WIFE EXITED THE VEHICLE TO TAKE OUR 3 YEAR OLD FROM THE BACK SEAT AND THE JEEP BEGAN TO ROLL AWAY. SHE RAN AND JUMPED IN TO THE DRIVER’S SEAT TO STOP IT AND IN THE PROCESS HER FOOT SLIPPED FROM THE BRAKE TO THE GAS PEDAL DRIVING THE CAR INTO/THROUGH A HOUSE. SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE WAS DONE TO THE VEHICLE AND THE HOME BUT NO ONE WAS INJURED.

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CAPUT THE CAR IN PARK (ENGINE STILL RUNNING) TO GO OUT OF THE VEHICLE TO TALK TO SOMEONE. I TURNED AROUND AND THE CAR WAS ROLLING BACKWARDS. IT GAINED SPEED AS IT APPROACHED A HILL, CROSSED OVER A SIDEWALK AND SLAMMED INTO A TREE. I HAD 2 BIKES ON A BIKE RACK ON THE BACK, WHICH TOOK THE BRUNT OF THE CRASH. THE BIKES, THE BIKE RACK AND THE REAR OF THE CAR WERE CRUSHED. THERE WAS NO WARNING NOISE OR OTHER INDICATION THAT MY CAR HAD NOT GONE INTO PARK.

LOS ANGELES, CAELECTRONIC SHIFTER DOES NOT ENGAGE IN TO PARK. ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS THE CAR HAS STARTED TO ROLL WHEN I THOUGHT IT WAS IN PARK. THE SHIFTER IS TERRIBLY DANGERS AND CUMBERSOME TO USE CORRECTLY TO FIND GEARS. THIS IS ALWAYS WHEN PARKING OR WHEN STARTING UP. DANGEROUS.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CAHE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON AN INCLINE, THE CONTACT STARTED THE VEHICLE AND IT ROLLED BACKWARDS IN REVERSE. THE CONTACT’S VEHICLE CRASHED INTO A PARKED VEHICLE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED.

The investigation into Yelchin’s death remains ongoing.

It is, but the method in which you control the shifter is different. It's not a matter of the transmission failing (apparently, still under investigation) but the shifter is confusing users into leaving the car in neutral.

Grand Cherokee uses the 8AT, not the 9AT which is in the Cherokee, Renegade, Dart, and 200 as well as numerous other products from other makes.

The new facelifted grand cherokee srt is 85k in Canada currently (with every gen/lift it creeps up a few K). I imagine that this thing is going to cost somewhere around 100k in Canada. 100k for a Jeep....I don't know guys. Not that it isn't MEAN looking and VERY powerful/fast, but I still don't think it's worth 100k.

If I had 100K to blow, I would he looking at a used cayenne turbo, not this thing

https://www.topgear.com/car-news/jee...cost-you-85900

The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is a numbers SUV. Numbers great and small. The small: it’ll do 0-60mph in 3.5s, pull a quarter mile in 11.6s and deliver 0.88g on the skid pad.

The great: it’ll produce 707bhp, max out at 180mph, and – now confirmed – cost $85,900.

Jeep has finalised the prices for what appears to be the world’s fastest and most powerful production SUV; a car that takes a supercharged 6.2-litre HEMI V8 from a muscle car (the Hellcat), and straps it into its largest SUV.

You’ll be able to order it tomorrow, with the first deliveries expected later this year. “There is no better value for a high-performance SUV,” Jeep’s Mike Manley explains.

So you’ve got the numbers, now for some detail. That HEMI V8 not only produces 707bhp, but also 645lb ft of torque, delivered via an eight-speed auto ‘box and Jeep’s ‘Quadra-Trac’ four-wheel-drive system, here featuring an electronic diff at the back and a single-speed transfer case.

There’s launch control, to better help you deliver that 0-60mph time of 3.5s, and yellow Brembo brakes – the largest ever offered on a Jeep – deliver 60-0mph in 114ft.

There’s a lower ride height. There’s a sculpted bonnet, blanked fog lights, many badges, 20in alloys, and gloss black detailing. Inside there is an 8.4in interior display, Jeep’s premium metal pack, a flat-bottomed steering wheel, soft-touch materials and a 7in driver display.

You want options? You’ve got options. Leather, a 19-speaker Harman-Kardon stereo, dual-screen rear entertainment, a trailer tow pack and red seatbelts.

So, $85,900. Consider that in the US, the list price of a Porsche Cayenne Turbo S – another exceptionally quick SUV – costs $160k. A BMW X5 M? $100k.

For a 700hp SUV....damn insane and awesome.

But for $85k.....you certainly aren't paying for the interior cause that one interior pic looks absolutely horrendous. But again interior luxury is NOT what you're paying for when buying this car...
