Press release from IMSA...

The breathtaking IMSA Gallardo’s visual attraction is unmistakable. Thanks to its progressive and intuitive technology, this extraordinary sports car also has fascinating inner values to its name.
Despite its state-of-the-art complexity, the midengine sports car’s technology is absolutely suitable for everyday use. For example, the exciting 5.0L V10 featuring more than 600hp and satisfying any desire for superior performance by means of a torque that will send cold shivers down your spine while promising astounding reserves. The performance-increased power train’s manufacturing and quality control is processed by high-end machines which are elsewhere applied for Formula 1 purposes only. Thereby, the standard product’s precision is further outdone. Any customer may watch the machines’ precise and filigree “dance” online. The 4WD system is laid out in a sporty fashion and will guarantee driving fun even in adverse weather conditions.

Without interfering with the original line, the body-kit conscious of tradition is harmonically absorbed by the body in order to make it complete. The IMSA’s design makes sportiness and exclusive appearance follow exactly the same line. The double-spoke rims featuring central locking do unconditionally obey this concept. The precisely adjustable sports chassis will be tuned according to the customer’s wishes. Brakes being provided with well thought-out safety reserves guarantee a deceleration with racing car qualities. Almost passionately, the eight and six piston callipers embrace the luxuriously dimensioned discs. The finest materials are to be found in the interior. Fragrant leather, comfy alcantara, high quality aluminium and CFRP come together in a haptic climax. – After comprehensive advisory, tailored to the customer’s wishes. – IMSA – Italian temperament and German engineering unified for the highest of qualities.

Post Spyder version...

Here's the Spyder...

Press release...

Until recently, the German tuning company IMSA was not more than just an insider tip. But by now, it has achieved the ultimate breakthrough thanks to its first product, the Gallardo GTV. After all, the company from Brüggen treated the Gallardo’s power unit like nobody dared before. After this special treatment, the V10 power unit develops maximum output of 610 hp at 7900 rpm. In the near future, it will also be possible to experience this pleasure in an open car – since all GTV parts are now available for the Spyder as well.

Special emphasis was made on road capability.

In spite of the increased engine power and the high torque of 655 Nm at 5300 rpm, IMSA wanted the Gallardo to be suitable for everyday use; it had to offer the best possible driving fun even under bad weather conditions. Therefore, the four-wheel drive – amongst other things – was adjusted to the new
performance. Even during extreme driving manoeuvres, the Gallardo’s ne-tuned sport chassis offers great stability and driving control.

The necessary grip is provided by broad 245/30 ZR 20 front and 325/25 ZR20 rear tyres. IMSA’s focus was on muscular design and, thus, the Gallardo Spyder is equipped with new front and rear aprons and flared wheelarches as well as distinctive spoke wheels with central locking and a discreet rear spoiler. The interior is designed to meet any customer’s individual wishes: leather, alcantara, aluminium and CFRP are on offer to refine the Gallardo’s cockpit.

IMSA Gallardo Spyder – A true revelation

Forget low-profile tires -- here's no-profile tires. The fronts in particular look like they were painted onto the rims. Damn ...

IMSA Pumps 584hp out of Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4

From Worldcarfans...

The Lamborghini LP540-4 was first unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, it is powered by a 5.2-liter V10 engine and as the name suggest pumps out 560 ponies and features a 4WD Viscous Traction system. This is the sort of package that puts the it's big brother Murciélago under a lot of pressure to come out with something even more spectacular and Lambo tuning specialists IMSA are hardly doing it any favours.

IMSA have introduced a new sports exhaust system to the model which adds an even stronger melody to the engine and brings total power output to 584hp. The exterior modifications include a new set of lightweight alloys and sports suspension kit along with an aerodynamic enhancing carbon fibre rear wing.

Gallardos, in my opinion are among the world's beautiful cars. The first generation was the best looking modern supercar at least for me. Any fancy mods ie bodykits butcher or take a lot from the lines.
