Your last statement must have been a typo, it should read - This was a sick car

I dunno, if you are able to fit wider wheels under the added panels then why cant it be called a widebody?
the body is wider...so are the wheels. why wouldn't it be a wide body?
ive never seen this done to an exotic before. only 350z's etc. seems like you shouldnt have to make a 170k dollar exotic sports car wider. guess the gallardo is pretty narrow.
anyone know how the stock width of the 430 compares to gayardo stock?

a "true" widebody has entire body panels replaced - at least the front fenders or rear quarter panels, if not both. A "true" widebody has both front and rear panels replaced. Sticking on body-cladding is not widebody.
a few examples:
it doesn't have to be crazy:
it doesn't necessarily mean it will look good - although I think this is probably bondo'ed, smoothed, and painted cladding... i.e. not wide-body.
loook at these curves
and finally, my fav widebody:
THIS is widebody...

this is a widebody wannabe. that being said, I would still lick it.
.....still a freakin nice carrr
