I love this! Bring on more Honda/Acura hatches that are bigger and more powerful than the Fit!

Semantics. It has two door handles, so I call it a coupe.

Also, if it has the cut roofline like the ZDX, I will not be buying either one. Just like the Infiniti EX35--what is the point if the wagon/CUV has a smaller back seat than the sedan?

No, the rear handles are integrated, but there. And it still has 4 doors.

I couldn't see them on the press shots.

Fit has a hatch that's useful. This hatch isn't really.

by the way, the Venza grille isn't pretty, but at least it has some texture and complexity. Not so for the Acura grille.

When will honda start designing good looking stuff again??? Quit coming to the plate late with shitty designs and start being a leader again.

4 doors = sedan
2 doors = coupe

You can call a cat a dog....but that does not make it a dog...it's still a cat.

Honda's going through their "Aztec" design phase.

Hmmm, not sure if Honda ever was a leader in design.

This hatch will probably be more useful than that of the Fit.

More like 2 plus 2 half doors. Anyway...wonder why they are doing the chopped roofline? Just to look different and not go head to head with the Venza? The ZDX with a more traditional roofline would go head to head with the RX350--mid size 5 passenger near lux CUV. Is this just a big exercise in ducking Toyota?

I don't think so. The MDX already competes with the RX. The ZDX is meant to be something entirely different.

I think this will appear to a much broaded audience then the Venza does. This looks more sporty, at least in my opinion.

It is similar to the 5 series GT, yet not many people are complaining about the BMW having no headroom or being a useless hatch. This is just a vehicle that caters to the people who have outgrown the Accord, cant fit in a CRV, dont want a minivan or a brick like truck. Its something different. Its something that gets noticed. And, I think, it is perfectly useful.

That's exactly what GM said about the Aztec.

Yea, but honestly the Aztec started the crossover craze. They just made it incredibly hideous.

Honda still does have time to uglify it though, which they most likely will.

I think the 5 GT is dumb, too.

I think this whole thing is just a big marketing scam. Make over 9000 versions of the same car, call it a different model instead of a trim line so you get extra reviews in the press and more listings on Edmunds.

Kind of like in the grocery world where there are twenty flavors of Cheerios to take up more shelf space.

I take back my comment about it being nice looking. I know it is still shod in camo, but the rear looks like a 2nd gen Prius on steroids.

And VCM? C'mon!

When will people realize that the best way to increase gas mileage is to monitor the use of the left foot?

VCM robs power and responsiveness for what, a 2mpg gain? Honda really needs to rethink their VCM stategy.

Hmmm, it's looking better and better now. I wonder how it'll ride, being based off the Accord platform, versus the ZDX, itself using the MDX platform.

It looks like a built in tow package (on the white one)?

That dash is right out of the Accord, no?

With that person giving perspective it looks like this is a pretty sizable vehicle.

Most likely what Honda calls a "subwoofer".

Is it just me or does the trunk look kind of small?

they should just call this the Accord 5 dr.

i don't like that the rear window isn't extended further. it will look like there will be a huge blind spot there.

didn't they have a Mazda 6 5 dr before?

Yup, and Mazda dropped it along with the wagon.

The huge blind spots in this thing will be an issue for some of the target demographic.
