2005 = 14,673
2004 = 23,690
So yes, it slowed down a lot!

obviously the 3 Series wins best "sports sedan". I'm willing to bet that it's just a name given to each of the cars. If the Prius were here again, they'd label it best hybrid compact or something, you know.

Because they liked it better than the IS. Keep in mind they factor in everything including cost. As for the G35. Only previous winners and all new cars are eligible for the 10 best. The G35 is neither.
When you realize there's so much more to a car than all out power you'll come to understand why the TSX is there 3 years in a row.

Someone better tell Acura that the TSX is not a luxury car.

Take their categories with a grain of salt. Last year the Ford Focus was the best economy car or compact car. This year that category isn't even there.

Your opinion, IMO its a fine, albeit underpowered sport sedan.

As far as the "sports" segment, whether sedan or coupe. I don't think power measures as high on the list as balance does, ex miata being a fun as hell car to own without all the much grunt-due to balance.
Think the list looks pretty good this year, except for the Rx8. Mazda should drop the rotary cause it isn't working out. They are trying to bear the developmental cost of the rotarty engine all by themselves, not likely to work out well. Put the 2.3T in the Rx8 and that car will be hot and reliable.
