Honestly, I think the car enthusiast's choice is the 335i over the M3. I'll take the boosted engine and do BPU mods. Throw on the M3's styling enhancements and some minor suspension tuning.....Bye Bye M3.

Nope, will base around $44k-$45k (give or take). This time around it will come with more standard features.

And don’t forget it’s typical for BMW to make options that should be standard quite expensive to add on.
It’s real easy to add 10-grand to the base price if you want stuff like leather seats, Xenon’s, heated seats & Homelink.

Only info i can find on pricing. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...t=335i+pricing

No Jesal, it would be dumb for you to waste money on another car.

According to this, a loaded 335i's (coupe) options would be an extra 10,750. Based off the previous pricing moves by BMW, I would guess that the 335i will be around 42,000-43,000.

Spotted: 2007 BMW 335i Sedan

A member of the E90 Post discussion forums snapped two photos of what appears to be a 306 hp 2007 BMW 335i Sedan. The car showed up at a dealership in Chicago this week. BMW recently announced the 2007 328i and 335i coupes, but made no mention of equivalent sedan models. Another forum member contacted the dealership in question about the photos, and they confirmed the car had arrived. The 335i sedan is not yet for sale, but instead is apparently being previewed to dealers across the nation in anticipation of imminent availability. The coupe variants are expected to ship this fall. Coupe and sedan pricing remains a mystery.

Usually all models inherit new engines when they come out - it's a matter of time.

So will the 335 Sedan displace the 330?

I hope not. 335 Sedan is overkill for many.

There will be a 328i also. It will be almost just as quick as the current 330. So no worries there.

Plus we americans, we love overkill.

The car is at Patrick BMW for those who are local. Not sure if you can see it though. I was thinking of going over there...

But why get rid of (or essetially de-tune) what is apparently a terrific engine. Adding the 335 to the 330 and 325 makes most sense IMO.

How else you gonna compete with the other power hunger car makers?

Plus BMW always did this. After two model years of a new design they upgrade the engine. They did it on the E46 also. They went from 323 and 328 to the 325 and 330.

I didn't say don't offer the 335 I said just keep the 330 as is with all 255HP in tact. Knowing BMW, they'll probly charge the same for the 328 as they did for the 330.

they wont be.

Pricing hardly changed when they changed from 323/328 to 325/330

Plus rumors already saying the new 335i will be almost the same price as the current 330. You will see. History repeats itself.

I don't see a 3 engine line up for the 3 series so something has to give.

The question is what will the 328 make power wise?

Its posted in this thread. 230hp with 200ft lbs. Thats plenty of power.

There wont be 3 engines, just the 328 and 335.

I guess that's a happy medium between the 325 and 330.

It seems like the spread between the two, 328 and 335, is almost IS like, but I wonder if it will translate to that much difference in real world numbers.

Biker, who is getting too lazy to read multiple page threads anymore.

So now, people have a problem with the E92. Since the E46 turned out to be the best thing since sliced bread.

First off, when did the standard E46 become such an "exciting" design? Where people can call the E92 bland in comparison.

I have 3 friends with 330s (two are ZHPs) and I have an M3, the E92 is no more vanilla than the E46.
i agree, i definatly dont like this car now and i will later. I was ify about E46 but now i love that car...

*Speaking very slowly*

This class is what we like to call a t-e-s-t m-u-l-e.
It is not a production E92 (douchebag who made the vid couldn't even get it right) M3.
Notice the plain old BBS wheels. Notice there are no grills on the side.

Wide gaps. Mismatched panels. Where did the BMW quality go?

I hated the oem optional aerokit on the E46 and nothing has changed......the stock 335 looks fine.

Would rather just put the $ into something else.

I want the M3 to be my next car, but a convertible. I'll have to see it on the road first. At first when the new 3-series came out, it took me awhile to like the styling. The only one I like is the 330i w/ sport package.

I'm not so sure I'd say that considering the new 3 coupe blows the old 3coupe out of the water.

Yes, the M3 looks good, but thats not to say it could look better.

The official 3-series was shown in full, the m3 has only been shown with cover and looks 10x worse with all the bs body coverings that are added to keep the car disguised - it looks 10x worse than the official 3 -series pics. 10x worse than the official pics. Let me get this straight....you're responding to my post from 4 weeks ago and I am the one looking for attention? Interesting. I asked you a simple question. You got defensive about it. Why? I have no idea.

By the way, you still have to go correct all these "assholes" too since they don't agree with your opinion.

NO, YOU RESPONDED TO MY POST, LETS BE CLEAR- You clearly followed my posts- its in writting . Hey, I say a lot of things out of emotion which aren't always right after that moment so I can take other peoples opinions from that point forward, I actually like and welcome others peoples opinions. I like to see poeple think rather than get along. It has nothing to do with getting defensive, but I'm not going to sit back while people are putting words in my mouth that fit their own argument.

The car obviously has havy cladding, i expect it to keep similar front and rear to the m5/6. It will look good but not great, but will performa like a beast and sell like hot cakes.
