More conflicting info too, last rumor was no cab since the hardtop weighed so much. Guess we shall see. I also agree that overall it doesn't have the agressive look of the E46 M3 but again that isn't showroom trim.

I am not digging the look. I know it's not the production car, but it needs work. Personally I think the enthusiasts choice will be the 335i Turbo. Turbo cars respond awesome to mods.

Hey, did I miss something...I while back I thought someone said that BMW was going to change the 3 series name to the 4 series for the 2 door version leaving the 3 series name for the 4 door? Thus leaving odd number series as the 4 doors and the even number series as the 2 door cars. Did they change their minds?

Larger engine means more weight which means stronger support for the engine which may mean adjusting suspension, adjusting engine mounts and mount points, changing size of engine bay which coudl then change the size of the front end.
It's never that easy.

It looks hot to me.... I think all of the agressiveness will come back out with the production wheels, lights, trim, etc... The body shape looks pretty hot in my opinion.

You really can't tell a whole lot from looking at spy pictures. The tires are obviously not the size they expect to ship the car with and sometimes the manufacturers purposely change body panels to mislead spy photographers. I doubt there's anyway BMW is gonna release a new M3 that isn't more stylish and innovative than the last M3.

New BMW 335I
Any thoughts. Twin Turbo! I am looking forward to it. My lease is up in about 9 months so this is def. a possibility. Hopefully it will be offerred in a six speed. My only concern is that everyone will get one.

Sounds nice, but BMW's are overpriced period. I almost bought one. Aside from that, hands down they are very nice. Twin turbo though, can't complain about that.

No kidding. Its priced where the E36 M3 was and no one called that overpriced.
302hp for 40k (starting) seems like a good deal to me. Just add software and im sure it will be faster than a 45k (starting) e46 M3.
Lets not forget more torque than the M3.
