Thanks for the pics! Anthracite looks great at night. I just wish Acura would put a little more metallic in the paint as it "appears" a little dull in daylight. The camel interior actually suits that color somehow IMO. I've heard several people talk about getting that color combo and I thought it would be ugly, but it's actually quite nice and unique.

 

You took the words right out of my month. I really like the Anthracite, yet I think it looks a little dull unless the sunlight is just right. On cloudy days, it just looks like flat grey. Although, I think all the colors look best when the sun is shiny on them and you can really see the pearl/metallic effect.

Thanks for the pix! The anthracite at night looks like CG even though it's suppose to be lighter...I still dont know if I like the CG or anthracite better

 

i totlly agree with you that have said anthracite is too dull. The silver and black all have a glossy metalic finish, if only the anthracite would too.

 

I agree. Even on the 03 TL-S. I decided on silver because it looks good 90 percent of the time. The anthracite does look dull, unless it is very clean. Silver and black look nicer.

The Carbon Gray on the TSX is a much nicer gray.

 

For some reason, the anthracite does not photograph well. Like most of us, I've seen several 2nd gen TLs and CLs w/ anthracite, and I always thought the color looked so drab. I remember being sooo disappointed when Justin reported months back that the 04 TL would be offered in Anthracite instead of CG. After seeing the pics of the abyss blue on the net, I was CONVINCED that was the color for me.

But once I saw the anthracite...

In person, it is striking just how sleek it looks. I don't know what it'll look like dirty, but it is very impressive in person. If you're basing your opinion of the anthracite on pics, please try and see one in person. Seeing the anthracite and WDP live has completely changed my opinion of those two colors...

November, hopefully. There were no Anthracite/Quartz 6MT-Navi's coming in the region. Just ebony.

 

That's the one I finally settled on after seeing nearly every color and interior. It was like princed said - YOU HAD TO SEE IT IN PERSON . It is AWESOME. I have mine on order but don't have any build info yet. It will likely be December for me. Can't Wait!!

 

ANY pics of Anthracite w/ the 18" rims? they seem like a darker fun metal that might look real good w/ the anthracite

You guys like the quartz so much better than the ebony that you're willing to wait until the December allocation?! You guys have some strong willpower!!

 

Well, my last two TL's had ebony and I like the two-tone effect of the quartz with the black dash.

What's another month, at this point.

Once winter is upon us, I will forget how badly I need ventilated seats.

 

I have been researching this car purchase (my wife thinks I'm nuts) for 1 1/2 years, so what is another month to get exactly what I want. (I would have been in an earlier allocation, but I would not make a final decision on colors until I had seen all of my possible choices in person. )
Also I am in the process of building a garage and it will not be done until the end of November. (Got to have a home for my new baby.)

 

The Anthracite 04 TL looks great in person. The flat finish grill (which I initially didn't like) works great with this color. It is definately one of best colors for showing off the TL's lines. The one I saw had the quartz interior and like the CG w/ quartz TSX it looked very sharp!!! nod:
