Accessory pricing?

I tried searching for this data in the archives, but no joy.

Anyone know cost price versus msrp versus installed price for accessories? Specifically I'm interested in
  • Back up sensor
  • Body side molding
  • Wooden gear shifter (for 5AT)
  • Any other wood trip options?
My salesguy, who I increasingly believe is crazy, is offering me these at cost price, but I have no way of verifying what's cost.

Incidentally, now that my #2 color choice is on the lot, salesguy is offering it at msrp -200 (as previously agreed) -another $200 cos it has 96 test drive miles on it. Am I missing something here, or have I struck gold?

I think you struck gold. Go for it before someone else test drives it. That is, as long as it doesn't have an early VIN.

I thought dealerships can't sell test drive models for 6 months?

[*]Wooden gear shifter (for 5AT)

hondacuraworld has the shift knob listed for $92.30, so make sure the dealer is offering less than that.

FWIW, I got the following:
  • Wood Shifter
  • Back up sensors
  • Body side modling
  • Lockable wheel nuts
  • Wheel splash guards
  • Window etching
All for $800 installed. Picking up Thursday.

And seperately got $500 off the msrp due to 100 miles on the clock and a previously negotiated discount. $45 documation fee brought it to $35,545 + taxes

If you go to Acura.com and select "Build and Price" and then select the interior and exterior options you want, it will give you the MSRP on the options. However, this does not include tax and installation. At least it's a starting point.

Does anybody know the answer? How much will it cost to add the 18" Acura wheels to the car? The price is shown as $1,516; but when I asked my Dealer, they said that is just for the wheels and the "Rubber" is extra. When I go to the Acura web and "build" the car. It gives the $1,516 price and does not say anything about more $ for tires (?). I would go for it if that is the full price; however, another $800- $1,000 is too much! (Is there a credit for the 17" tires and Wheels that come with the car?)

When I went to the TL open house on Wednesday, the dealer had a TL with the 18" wheels and Falken tires for $3495. It looks like the dealer will try to gouge you for whatever they can. I feel sorry for any sucker that takes them up on that price.

Of course maybe the dealer's just trying to build in some negotiating room.
