2005 Rsx?

Here's some scans I found over at Honda-tech. Has anyone heard to what extent the update will be? The update has been confirmed, but no one seems to know exactly what Acura is going to do.

.."there's a new transmission in the works. Origionally designed for a future Acura TSX, the new gear box is a 6-speed that features a clutchless shift system."

If this is true why would they put it in the RSX first?

It looks like the offspring of a Toyota Celica and a Civic.

looks hot, but the celica look alike is true, I liked the teardrop headlights of the current RSX.

...that's the first thing I thought of when I saw it...I'm not liking it.

I think the headlights look better than the current one...but I think they should align the front end to look more like a TSX. To really bring in the family resemblance (and because the TSX front end is so good looking). Also, more powerful engine would be nice, to bridge the gap between the 200hp current Type S and the 270hp TL.

ok .. where is The Oracle ... Justin?

Also ... I thought there was pretty strong rumor on the death of the RSX ... this seems quite odd in light of those earlier rumors.

For comparison ... JDM Integra Type R from Japan

I don't know what you guys are looking at, but to me that looks just like a current RSX without the teardrop headlights. Looks like somebody was bored at work and decicded to PhotoChop. I'd expect a "revised" RSX to look like that, but not one with big changes.

No mention of a Type R

Does anyone remember the photoshop job done on the RSX a while back that gave it TSX/TL headlights? If anyone has a copy of that, could you post it? I thought that one looked great.

I don't think the above (now red-x) pictures are photoshopped. It may be privately installed mods instead of press release stuff, but I don't think the image was messed with.

What the pics that were up?

Look at the current RSX, imagine the teardrops were gone from the headlights and thats it, it was identical from there.

There was more too it than that...the hood and front facia had a little more texture that remided a lot of people of the current Celica.
