XM Traffic in 2007 TSX w/Nav
XM Traffic in 2007 TSX w/Nav
**APOLOGIES IF THERE IS ALREADY A THREAD ON THIS**
I was fooling around with my Icons (while sitting in traffic ironically) and noticed a blue Traffic icon option pop up on the bottom of the Nav screen. For a split second I hoped there was a mix-up at the factory and pressed it hoping for new directions. Unfortunately it turned grey and disappeared. I hadn't heard of anything like this so I tried to get it to pop up again. So I retraced my steps and it did. I snapped a couple of cameraphone pix.
(Unfortunately I have no idea how to post them - volunteers please help)
Obviously the TSX Nav is wired for XM Traffic. Does anyone know if we can replace the XM radio module with an XM Traffic module from ANY of the other new Acura models and in doing so, is it as simple as "plug & play" to get Traffic in a TSX?

There was a thread on this in the TSX section. Just so you know, one of the other members actually bought the navTraffic service from XM (it requires an extra monthly fee) and yet still, traffic info did not shop up on his navi. This was also on an 07 TSX.
It would be fair to say we are missing some hardware to make XM navTraffic work, and the software is just there for versioning, so they can use the same stuff in the TL, MDX, etc that gets XM navTraffic. No one has yet gone about replacing hardware modules with similar ones from navTraffic enabled cars, but if you'd like to be the first, we'd all like to know if it works.
