wiring harness for reciever

I am planning on adding an after market stereo soon.
Has anyone used a wiring harness to connect the wiring? If so, can they tell me the model type for the wiring harness??

I take it you don't know what that one wire's function is? Thanks, for the response though. Everything works fine? Does the stereo wheel controls still work??

nope, with a new aftermarket head-unit, you will lose your steering wheel controls. yeah, the 98up accord wiring harness will work just fine. and your going to need to bypass your amp and run speaker wires. have fun

I knew what it was but dont remember what it is. It's been a long time since I last messed with it. Like RR32CLS said, sterling wheel control wont work with aftermarket HUs unless you get a kit from Peripheral.

I did an aftermarket in my last car and it was easy, but with the bose system and the amplified speakers is there anything special I need to do? What do you mean about running speaker wire? Shouldn't that already be there with the stock head unit? I'm confused.

I will probably get after market speakers eventually anyway...then I will need speaker wire right?

Thanks for helping this noob out.

Hey, I got a 99 3.0 with the bose system and am about to put in an Alpine head unit. Since the bose head unit is slightly larger, I'm guessing I will need a dash kit. Has anyone had a problem getting a dash kit for our cars? If so, can you tell me what kind was it? Any help will be appreciated.
