Which wiring to buy?

There is a dealer in Fremont, CA called Pacific Stereo. It is an authorized dealer for JL Audio and Xtant. I bought a JL Audio 500/1 for $415, including tax which is one hell of a price since the cheapest internet price is about $375 which doesn't include the 2-year authorized dealer warranty.

Anyway, the shop agreed to install a custom false floor in my trunk for $350 if I provide the following items:

Couple of 12" Kicker C12 subs (1996 version)
JL Audio 500/1 amp (from the shop)
Wiring for the install
Capacitor

I don't know what wiring to buy for the install. They said that I only need to buy 4-gauge wiring and they will use it to connect the car battery, amp, and sub. But don't I also need to buy RCA cables?

Do you know what wiring I should buy? What's the best place to buy wiring (Radio Shack? Good Guys? Walmart?)?

Thanks for your help.

if you're just gonna connect an amp to power a sub, you don't really need rca cables. not familiar with the 500/1, if it has speaker level inputs, they'll just probably tap into the rear speakers. if the amp does not have speaker level inputs, you'll have to tap into the rear speakers and solder some rca connectors to connect to the amp. either way, you won't need rca cables...just rca connectors which are available at radio shack but your installer should be able to provide that. also, i would just get the monster install kit for the amp available at circuit city or best buy. get the 4 gauge one which comes with the fuse, the power and ground wires and a bunch of wire connectors. not sure how much it costs anymore but the power wire is flexible enough so it's easy to run through the car.

Thanks for the info. Don't you think I can get the 4-gauge amp install kit over the Internet at a lower price? Also, is Monster the best brand I can go with? Are there other brand of amp install kit that I should consider?

The more options I have, the better. I like to do a lot of comparison shopping. Your advice is very much appreciated. Thank you.
