Should I get a 1 farad capacitor or a BatCap?
I will be using a JL Audio 500/1 to drive a couple of 12" Kicker C12 subwoofers.
Should I get a 1 farad capacitor or a BatCap? Please note that cost is a very important factor for me and I would like to keep it as low as possible. However, if the stereo will affect my engine's RPM output in any way, then I am willing to spend $$$ for any solution (short of a new alternator or battery) that will prevent such effect.
So will a 1 farad capacitor be enough for my system and prevent any effect on my engine's RPM/horsepower? Or should I get a BatCap which I heard is the best way to go but is more expensive than a 1 farad capacitor?
If a 1 farad capacitor is good enough for my needs, then do you have any recommendations? Thanks in advance for your help.

Well, I read your other thread about how caps are useless. From that thread, I got the impression that batcaps are ideal for really big setups that you usually find in car audio competitions.
But what about an el-cheapo setup like a couple of 12" subs connected to a 500W amp? Does it really warrant a batcap which is generally more expensive than a regular 1-farad cap? Or will a 1 farad capacitor do the job for me without impacting my engine's rpm/horsepower/interior lights?
I would like to hear from a devil's advocate on this issue, if possible. Thanks.
