U think a 1 farad capacitor would work for that? or would I need to get 2?

 

If that is 2400 watts RMS, then you will definitely need 2. The key is 1 farad for every 1000 watts rms.

 

its a PA, so prob not rms.... a 1.5 should cover you...if not the 1

 

yeah thts wont every1 says whts up w/ power acoustik, do they suck or sumthin?!

 

Alumapro 5 farad...probably the best cap out there...

Indeed. ALumapro makes the best out there IMO. they also carry 15f and 50f..they are developing higher. they are actually a company out of huntley IL, and my hookup at tweeter is good friends with the owner.. i got my 5 f cap for $200. def worth the price. i also love their top of the line subs (Alumapro 12" RX 500rms 1000 peak) soo clean and loud. $400 each retail got 2 new for $100 each. they are awesome, but yea its a great cap. check ebay frequently.

 

What are you looking to accomplish with this cap?

 

I'm just going to use it to keep my headlights dimming and my car losing its battery power..

 

they are cheap amps... not bad, just cheap and overrated...
but that doesnt mean i wouldnt buy one, just something to keep in mind when picking out other system components.
