Wire Schematics?

Wire Schematics?
My brother in law offered to help me upgrade my system (00 TL) but he wanted me to find a wire schematic for the car. I'm not a car audio person, so I have no clue what that is. I did some web searches and didn't find anything that looks like what he was describing. Can someone help me out?
