Will I Blow A 10w7 With A Jl 1000/1???

Ok well we all know that these two products are supposed to be together, but is the 10 ment to be with the 1000/1...can it handle it? The "max" on the sub is 1000w but is it really higher then that, cuz the 1000/1 is 1000w RMS, not max. I dont wanna crank this to impress my friends, and blow them away, as well as the voice coil...let me know
John

I have noticed a lot of your posts in the last week...i see where you are getting with all this. You should e-mail me and I can help you out further if you wish. but for now...

entering 900-1000 watts on a 10w7 results in:
Low-distortion output and long-term reliability will be compromised (especially by an aggressive user). Slightly more SPL might be gained by pushing the power into this zone, but typically not more than 2 dB, when compared to the 500-700 watt zone. The closer you are to the 1000 watts, the higher the likelihood of driver failure. Operate with caution: burnt voice coils are not covered under warranty.

I hope that explains it all. Basically if you plan on adding another sub later or a larger sub later than go for the 1000 watts, however if this is not in your plans and you insist on the 1000 watts, turn the gain all the way down and dont "slam" the volume during low bass notes.

a 10w7 can hangle 1000/1 without blowing but why would you want to do it when you can get pretty much the same output with the 500/1 and spend a couple hunderd dollar less.... but if you really want to you could push the w7 w/ the 1000/1 and it would be fine...
