Wheres the amp?

dont know much ab my TLs sound system. do we have an amp sumwhere? or is it built into the headunit or something... im VERY short on cash and i want to get more bass. the 9 inch isnt enough. and i only have like 200 to spend. if our amp is accessible, cant i just buy a box with like 2 10s in it, and wire it to our existing amp? or something else? i dont have enough to buy a new amp.... please help... thanks

Both...the headunit outputs 12Wx 4 to the door speakers and the sub has its own amp.

Squeezing water out of a rock...it's not going to work. Our stock sub amp is pathetic...it won't get close to driving 2 10's. You will need a second amp. Why not get one 10 and an amp to run it. That's about all you can get if you're just spending $200 and you don't want to buy total crap pieces.

I believe so. Most aftermarket HUs are no more than 30Wx4 realistically, just the limitations of the HUs....

THe Bose system sounds awesome but not loud enough. IT a total of 150 watts. Theres a 100 watt amp for the sub behind the rear seat. Bottom cushion pops up and there bolts for the back.

for the tl-s cars, there is a 100w bose sub amp located behind the rear seat upper cushion (passenger side).
