I guess it depends upon your definition of cheap. The only "retail" source I know of for "cheap" JL Audio gear with a warranty is http://www.tms-electronics.com/rec_search.asp.

Other than that, try to find them on ebay. Since you insist on a warranty, you'll have to buy new amps.

I hope this has helpedl. I think you can get quite a bit more bang for your buck if you're willing to change the brand name...but you did insisnt on JL Audio!!

Good luck!

I am lookin at the specs of the JL amps and they are so damn clean. And then there is my all time favorite Alpine. Isnt the MRD500 and the JL 500/1 really comparable. I want to have 2 amps by the same company. Would a Alpine MRD500 and MRV340 be a better choice. Power rating is about the same and I can get them really cheap to.

Go over to A-world and ask Austin. He's pretty well hooked up for JL stuff. He help me out about a year ago and I probably saved 50-60% off retail.

Just got a quote on JL stuff from the local JL dealer. He said $1500 for 500/1,300/4 and W6v2.

I want to get some really really clean amps any anything else someone can suggest cheaper would be nice. I might lean toward alpine but I really only save like $100 to 200 bucks.

I found JL at onlinecarstereo and mgiht do it from tehre and some from shaws friend

hey dnd i would have to say go with mike (the guy i deal with) i mean he gave me some great prices.. but as for other amps that are clean.... humm zapco, phoenix gold titanium, diamond audio, xtant... etc.. i would say that mike could do all of that stuff you want for right around $1000 shipped to your house... and i was not a huge jl audio amp fan but after i got mine it changed my mine... these amps are really clean and definately worth the extra $100 or $200...

Mike e-mailed me back and he cant get me JL. But I was thinking, I really have always liked alpine and dreamed of a all alpine system. This is just a crazy thought. I still like having lots of bass to and this is what I stired up.
I already got all type R speakers in the car.
Ok now get 2 MRD300 mono amps
and 2 Type R 10s
one MRVt320 for the front stage and MRPT220 for the rear.

also can one W6v2 do the job of two alpine type r's.
IF it can then I can get One MRD500 and one MRV-f340 or 540

all i know about soundstream is that they are fckin awesoem amps. OK as Istated in another post , I might keep my Fosgate 550x and get a 500bd or 1000bd. This biggest reason i wanna keep FOsgate is casue of my amp rack, About few month ago a got a new custom built rack on the side of the trunk and it was perfectly made for the 2 Power amps Ihad. If Iget any other amp I would have to get a new rack and it would be a total waste of money. After doing extenisive research on Fosgate and Alpine, I looked at the THD and the S/n ratios and fosgate was always better. Nothing noticable when listening though. it was only better by a tad but though.
