TSX: Where did you route your isimple ipod cable?

Where did you route your isimple ipod cable?
I'm thinking about installing my peripheral isimple soon, and I was wondering where you fellow tsxers routed the cable that connects to the ipod? I don't plan on getting a mount, so do most of you without mounts run the cable up through the center console (where the mp3 jack is)? Or do people stow away the ipod in the center cubby (under the nav display) by drilling a hole in the back of the cubby?
I usually have my ipod sitting in my cupholder. I'm thinking that's probably the closest I can get it to my hands without mounting it.

I drilled a hole in the rear of the storage cubby and placed the cables in there. The Ipod is in the cubby with the door closed and out of sight - and safer. Ipods are vulnerable to theft.
Part of the answer depends on how you use your Ipod. I run the Ipod mostly in random play mode so I don't have to touch the Ipod. The interface using the radio controls is ok for a reasonable number of albums/tracks. But if you have lots of albums/tracks - using the Ipod interface is better. When in random play mode, if I hear a track that I don't like, I just turn the tuning knob to move to the next track.

Ya I guess so, haha. Well before i actually drilled into the cubby door, I had the wire coming out of the bigger cubby and used to prop my phone into that space. Then when I redid it, I love having the phone rested right there that I just built it in.

Ummmm it might be. I'm not sure. This is the cable, link, it says it's 6 feet so that seems like it is long enough to run to the center console, but im' not sure how much wiggle room you will have. Good luck though!

Mine is in the upper cubby. There's a light that runs into the top of it. I just inplugged the light and ran the cable through that hole. If I decide I don't like it later, I can just plug the light back in and move the cable. No modification needed - makes for a perfect install in my book. I also run in random shuffle mode 99% of the time.

Oliver!!!
I just ran mine into the glove box. My iPod pretty much lives in there. The cable is long enough to go into the center console. I can take mine out of the glove box and people in the back seat can use it.
