I need a 4 channel amp. Needs to be about 50W/ch. I need a small amp though. The smaller the better. I need to mount it inside my rear panel in my explorer. Any ideas? Or recomendations?

 

ALPINE V-POWER

it's a decent 4 channel amp. it's small and u can probably fit that in where u want. it's just there entry level 4 channel but alot better than what's in the car now. remember i said V-Power not V-12 those definetly won't fit.

 

The Alpine is 250 mm long by 170 mm wide and 2.1 mm deep, rated 50X4 rms when bridged 4 ohms. That is there 4/3/2 model....

The JL 300/4 is 75 X 4 RMS anywhere between 1.5 ohms to 4 ohms, it is 13.4 inch long and 9.25 wide and 2.36 inch deep

Orion has a 500.4 amp that is 4X62 at 4 ohms and is 13 inch by 10.25 by 2.25

Rockford fosgate has an Power Amp called Power 400.4 that sis rms 50 x 4 RMS at 4 ohms and is 13.35 inch (33.9 cm) long and 9.8 inch (24.89 cm) deep but the width is not available.

I have a blaupunkt 4 channel amp in my truck and it's super small.......the size of 5 cd cases ontop of eachother?

That's the one....sounds great.

 

Notice that the blaupunkt is RMS 100X4 at 13.8 Volts which is highly unlikely that you will ever reproduce your battery's exact voltage at any time. Not that blaupunkt is bad but this rating is only good under certain circumstances. The JL is rated at 12-14 volts and has engineering that can supply more voltage and comlete the RMS wattage under certain conditions....

 

What is your budget? the Helix (made by Brax) HXA400 MKII is a very nice amp (65wx4 rms) and it has a tiny footprint... Check it out at theautophile.com
