What does it mean to Bridge an amp?
Im looking for a amp thats 150x2 at 4ohm... but the one i want is 250x2 at 4 ohm bridged, can i set the gains lower so i dont blow the speakers?
Bridging a stereo amplifier essentially turns two channels into one mono channel with greater power output. I think you are wrong when you said you would get 250x2 @4ohms bridged. You are really getting 250x1 @4ohms When you bridge the amp you will not have stereo, you will have one channel.
Sellout....
you wanna check what the resistance or ohms on the back of ur subs before u bridge the amp. make sure the amp can handle the bridge load u wanna go with. if it's too low of a resistance from the subs it runs the amp alot hotter and will thermal and clip and cut out.
