I'm using an Infinity Basslink that I bought for $179. The only issue I have is the stock BOSE head unit cuts bass out at loud volumes. But the basslink remote is really cool...especially if you have kids and want to dial out the bass without getting in the trunk or screwing with the levels on the stereo.

No, it's a trunk install - I disconnected my stock Blose sub. Check out my gallery...I uploaded pics of my install. You can see how much space it takes up in the trunk...it's barely bigger than a 10" sub and it throws out 200W (Class D amp, so it's efficient). Don't waste your money on a Bazooka if you go this route.

As far as a a direct fit sub, there isn't one. There were a lot of people who swapped out the stocker with a Polk DX6 (do a search). It required some mounting mods and gave some improvement in sound. My guess is it doesn't sound as good as a trunk mounted 10" or 12" sub/amp combo.

Good luck.

no no no ... a RMB8 plus an after market amp would cost more than $150.

I used to have an Infinity powered sub which I got from ebay in my Hyundai and it worked pretty good.

For $150, you might want to check out powered sub (a sub with an amp installed in it).

Hope this helps.

Cheers !!!

Besides, the RMB8 is meant to be used as a midbass driver, not a sub.
