Wanting to add a new amp, but...

will these paper bose speakers be able to handle the extra wattage? I have a 4 channel Alpine 90X4 (not sure if thats the RMS rating or Max). Judging from my previous experience, im sure this will blow those speakers in a second. Also, does any one know what the bose speakers are rated at??

save yourself the time and change out the front speakers at least... and keep the rears stock to the stock amp.. i mean get some cheap front speakers if you have to, they will be better than the bose!!!

hey thanks, what type of speakers do you recommend. I have some infinity Kappa 6 1/2 speakers that i had in my 4 runner. They werent great, but i can guarantee they would sound better than bose w/ my Alpine amp powering them. What size speaker will fit in the stock speaker slot?

You can get up to a 6-1/2" with a custom made baffle. The OEM baffles only fit the Bose speaks.

this is true.. use at least 3/4" MDF and a couple coats of shellac or other sealer to keep from absorbing moisture and warping.
