Ok, here is what I want to do... I want to take the remote display from the V1 and be able to split it up...
I am not sure if this is possible... and if it is, how difficult is it to do...
I want to have the arrows in a completely different location in the car from the bogey counter and the signal strength...
is this possible? how would i do it?

Anything is possible, but at a minimum you're going to need some soldering and desoldering skills. Basically you would just have to run wires from the lights to the circuit board. How far away are the lights going to be?
i do... i dont know anything about electronics... lol
so... in theory, i would desolder each of the leds from the circuit board.... solder a wire between the original board and the led? or another board? im so confused...wishing somebody would do it for me

+1 That would be tight!I already have the Valentine concealed display and I'm thinking about getting the Remote Audio Adapter and mount the 2 in the NOT an Ashtray. Then I'd put the V1 on my rear window and leave it there permanently. I have tint up, and I'm hoping it will protect the radar enough.
Do you guys think the heat reject/Uv protection of the tint will be good enough to protect the radar?
It's not easy at all to desolder the remote display. All the points are soldered by a machine, so you will need a very good iron and a nice stand w/ a maginifying glass.
Once you've actually desoldered the display, the rest is cake work. Just extend your wires and my your customization.
As for placement of the V1, i wouldn't put it on the rear deck. You've loosing alot of laser detection by doing such. Radar detection on the other hand won't be comprimised much.

Yes, but it also cuts down on interferance from the sun. So it evens out. It does NOT cut down by a lot, infact very little. Read up on www.valentineone.com they have a section on mounting it - they explain the details there.
