want a nice lookin istall

Since I just got a new 3.0cun ft ported box my trunk doesnt look so nice anymore, Kinda ghetto I think. my problem is that I wanna make it look nice and custom but dont know how to make it look like that? any suggestions. My 2 amp are on the back of the seat on a nice amp rack and a cap in the middle. Which I cant see anymore. What would be the best way to make it look better? I was thinkin of moving the amps to a differ location in the trunk so I get to push the box back another couple of inches. But where can I mount the amps and the cap.

ANy pics or suggestions please.

My amps and C.A.P. are mounted on the box. The shop built a false wall and carpeted it so you really cannot tell there is a box there. Others will have great suggestions also. The false wall is just heavy cardboard mounted to the box with velcro.

I guess you could mount one amp on each side wall. Where you used to have your sub and the other where the jack is. Maybe build something out and over the jack so it could stay in place. Or relocate it to the spare tire well. Just a thought.

How does that Kicker sound now???

Got a quote today on this. They are gonna mount my amps and cap on the box and when I open the trunk its gonna look like a one piece trunk enclousure. ITs gonna be all vinyl. its gonna run about 200 bucks.

i personally went with the system built in the floor of my spare tire. you couldn't even tell there was a system in my car until you lift the carpet up, flushed into the floor. the only bad thing is i lost my spare tire but it never work anyways with my oversized rotors.

I personally love l2c's idea. Hide everything until you want to show it. Plus there is ton's of room under the carpet. The big thing, if you can live without the spare. If you have Acura Roadside assistance, I guess you would not need the spare around town.

I would love to Install it in the floor. But since I am only 18 (turning 19 morrow) My parents still dont think I take enough responsibiltys and I have 17 credits hours of school this semester and work 25 hours a week plus wrok for my dad. And with my luck my mom or dad will probally borrow my car someday and get a flat. I do want to lose that tire but just cant. All this money I am just wasting on better sound? just dosnt make any sence does it ?

BUt heres Plan B. Take the amp rack out and push the box in. Then on the side of the trunk mount the amps and the cap. Anyone have installs like this.

I have my crossovers mounted on the drivers side and the CD player on the left. It fit so I can still get to the jack. Some light equipment (like a cap) could be mounted behind the left tail light.

I agree it looks great there BUT it is a real pain to get it there. Lots of work to fill the space and extending the wiring harness to get it there. I was not up to that much work.
