WAnt new system but don't want to necessairly change amp?

I want a new sound system. I was thinking about going with the 6X9's MB quart and needing some speakers that would go really well with them or doing a whole Alpine Type R speakers through the whole car? Eldudrino if you can give any feedback I just really want cleaner and tighter audio, and I live in N. Cali. I listen to all types of music from Rap to Hip hop, to also Rock. Don't want anymore rattles and if I can get less rattles the better.

BTW would these speakers be good; Alpine 6" x 9" 2-Way Coaxial Car Speakers with Hybrid Fiber Cones (Pair), Model: SPR-69LP. adn these for the front and back passenger sides? Alpine 6-1/2" 2-Way Component Car Speakers with Hybrid Fiber Cones (Pair), Model: SPR-17LS. How would this system fair in my car?

Since you are not changing out the amp, the MB Quarts will be underpowered and will not sound as good. I would recommend going with a Component type set-up for the 6X9 and go with a lesser brand such as Rockford Fosgate P1692S 6"x9" Component System. Sell the tweets. Those could be purchased at around $140 at THEZEB.com. I have a discount promotion code. Let me know if you are interested. I also replaced my tweets up front with a set of JL XR100-CT's. They sound great !!!!!!

I agree with BoS that the MBQ would be underpowered.

Before i can say if those Alpine speaks are a good choice for you, just out of curiosity, have you decided on a budget?

As far as money goes around $1000. retail value. I can get the Alpine stuff at cost anything from them, and get a sweet deal on the MB Quart as well.

If you are getting Alpine at cost, can't you get better F speaks than the Type R's?

I would go Type X up front. I don't think the 6.5" X will fit, I'd go 5.25 (what I have).

BTW, get the RCE-269's while you can... shortage on all MBQ speaks at present. Very scarce.

That and an Alpine 345 amp should work just fine...

SO are you confined to only the stuff you get a discount on? Or are you going beyond that? (I am assuming you are going beyond since you're getting the Quarts, but aI want to verify...)

And if you find those quarts, snap them up. I hear the factory in Germany is locked and dark...

I don't care about the discount if it's worth getting better stuff. I just want nice and clean audio, that still sounds pretty darn good.

MB Quart Germany is bankrupt, supposedly, so I guess Rockford will create Chinese clones since they can't afford to buy the tools.

I would try and listen to things but most car audio stores have piss pore displays.
the tweeter in TSX stock is 1" Silk.
I'll live with that for a while ultill the sun cooks it.
About the only that sucks is the Doors and rear doors deck.
I put these in the rear http://www.cartoys.com/cartoys/showd...roduct_ID=1058
I had the in my last auto MDX.
They are a little bright but I treat them like a surrounds and I don't sit in back while I'm driving HAHA
http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?...e=kenkfcp605ie
I put these in the front doors and I'm saving the tweeter for another day, don't use the Xover that comes with it just plug and play.

Use these to mount your 6.5 this is a great product!
As far as 6x9's any cheap poly with freq of 40HZ - 25 shoul do it.
I wait for some rute now.
Good luck.
All of this less than $500.00
I'm saving my $$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

What 6x9s did you end up getting? Did you get noticeable/significant gains from replacing the oem 6x9s? I'm looking to replace the oem 6x9s without having to get a new amp, just looking to get a little bit more punch out than the stock ones.
