Can anyone vouch for this kit or know anything about it?

dont get it man, its gonna run sound through a tape which is terrible quality, the only ipod kit i would recommend is the alpine kci 420i, or the kce 422i made specifically for alpine decks, the 422i is less expensive at 29.00 dollars from crutchfield but it only works for the 9856 and up decks. these are great cables and are interfaced with the head unit itself, so it charges your ipod, and controls the ipod directly from your deck. check it out man

I used the blitzsafe adapter and it was simple to install and not ten different cables.
See my thread here.

it wouldnt sound as good with the stock HU because theres no equalizer, also it wouldnt display the name of your songs in the HU itself, and you wouldnt be able to store playlists as with the apline. plus you could get the alpine cda-9857w/a free ipod link for only 229.00.

i used the same thing in my 03 tl-s with nav...

sound quality isnt perfect but its MUCH better than using the tape adapter.

i'm using the stock head and the thing is EASY to install. at most it will take you one hour to install
