Hmm. I wouldn't go automatically with either brand. They both use what I call bimbo marketing.

As far as what you should want... what is your reference, what do you listen to?

you can get a 1000 watt amp for $200 new...ya right...basically these companies put nice outsides on some shitty insides and claim output levels that would only be true if you had a lightning bolt hooked up to your ride.

with that being said, they will get the job done, just not very high quality. but if you just want an amp to get you from point a to point b...then you will be fine with either - though there are much better choices for not much more money.

ahhh ok i get it! now it all makes sense, so what amps say on the box is totally a different story from what they put out.

isnt that false advertising?

There are no goverment regulations on car audio. So some less than honest companies will make some wild claims to sell there cheap products.

Look at what some head unit companies claim for power on their radios!

Don't know a lot about Clif subs... but they are not known for subs, but for mids/highs.

Can't go TOO wrong with JL.

If you want something that is cheaper than JL and just as good or actually better in my opinion find a local Memphis Audio Dealer in your area and get memphis audio.
