Video and Zune install question

Hey everyone, I'm sort of new here.

I would like to install a DVD player and a Zune mount into my 02 CL-S with Navi.

The thing is, I want to keep the system completely stealth... I want to keep my factory system looking exactly like it does... I hate aftermarket stuff. I've done some searching here and other places. I have found a company that makes a cable for a mobile Zune install.

What I'd like to do is find out how to tap into the tape circuit. I have basic soldering and electronic skills and I would guess it wouldn't be too hard to connect a lead to the contact points for the tape input. From there I'd like to put a switch inline to switch between the DVD audio and the Zune audio.

I hope that isn't too confusing, has anyone tried anything like this?

Sorry. I've done the Zune install on my TSX, but not on a CL. Are you referring to the cable made by Soundgate? I've been waiting for that to be released as well. I have no idea how to help you on the tape deck scenario.

Yea, I was talking about the Soundgate one. I have to figure this out, I am almost positive it isn't that hard, but I need some direction

Wouldn't it be easier to just use the soundgate interface instead of hacking at your tape deck? Are you trying to watch video on your nav? I did that with my TSX, but our navs are different. I used a harness made to plug a back up camera into, but instead plugged my Zune into it. I don't know how it would work with your car though. Probably get the Nav2Go unit.

Yea, I'd like to watch DVD's on my nav and also my zune... not together. So I figured if I tapped into the tape leads (since I don't think I've ever played a tape) I could keep it totally stealth and just hit tape to either watch a DVD or listen to my Zune. I would put a switch inline so I could switch between the 2 audio sources. I totally refuse to FM modulate.

It would be WAY easier for you just to use the TVandNav2Go unit. There is a ton of info on here.
