How good are these detectors? Quite a few listers seem to have them? Where is the best priding? Is it only purchasable throught the Valentine One web site? Are they illigal in CA? If so, where can you put one that won't be seen?

 

You need to purchase from V1 direct usually. It's a good detector, no doubt. I carry K40s which in my opinion are as good, if not BETTER than V1 and you can get SEVERAl varations and options.

V1 is excellent though, don't get me wrong. Not trying to discourage against it. But you do need to purchase from them direct

 

Been lookiing for more information on this topic. What makes the k40 better than the V1. In fact, what *is* the k40? :-)

V1 is excellent. It is also big and klunky and expensive and you can only buy it from them directly. All those points suck, but I think I would buy it again and again. Do a big search on V1 and 8500 and you will find some great info and comparisons here with the devices.
