USB/Flash Reader for mp3

Many of the newer cars coming out, ie 09 TSX are coming with a USB drive reader to play mp3's. My friend's new 3 series BMW has this and it is awesome. I was wondering if any companies are making an aftermarket for this. DICE, I hope makes one that can hack into the Navi unit of the TSX. Anyone?

I've been searching for a usb player for a while. The only one i found was on ebay. U plug the usb player into a device that plugs into the cig lighter then plays through the radio using an internal fm modulator. All the controls are on the device.

Other than factory hu's and add on integration modules like alpine, kenwood, and jl audio, that is the only route for now. Conclusion = get an ipod and call it a day.

Pioneer has a piece that does this for Pioneer HUs. However, a lot of people complained about its lack of functionality and slow response, and its not a big seller. I'd look for a new generation of that type of equipment to be coming in the March / April timeframe. That's when most of the big aftermarket companies will lauch their 2008 gear for consumers.

This is exactly what I need (but without text display). It even connects an ipod too and you can control everything through the steering wheel! I wonder if you plug it into the XM slot, would it still work? Who wants to be the tester? I just bought an HD Dice unit too =(.

nope. which is the reason why I started this thread, haha. I bought mine used and still shipping here. But I would love it to have USB. It's so much more convenient to just copy/paste and go. Ipod, you have to sync it an everything. The one on my friend's BMW 3series is integrated really well. Damn it -___- Hopefully when the new tsx's come out with their version of the usb plug, the'll get an aftermarket one soon.

true....u have a good point. just copy, paste and go. still waiting for a response. there in china probably like a dayoff or so, i should here something soon. i want know if it will with the cl hu. i've googled it and seen it on rsx's and civic's. if it works as a cdchanger than it should work with any honda/acura across the board.

Dension Gateway 300

A step up from the GW100, the Dension Gateway 300 will allow you to control and browse your iPod and USB content from your car’s original radio. The simple aim is to provide integration but without the mess. You can further achieve this by installing your iPod using our docks or simply having everything neatly tucked away in your glove box, giving you complete integration without the mess.
