Exclamation USA SPEC PA11-HON2 Stereo Instead Of Ipod!

ok So I Want To Connect Another Stereo Beside The One I Already Have To My Car...... I Bought The Usa Spec Pa11-hon2 Which Gives Me The Option To Connect My Ipod An Also Has Rca Input.... I Want To Know If It Is Possible To Connect The Outputs On The Back Of A Separate Stereo By Connecting Front And Rear Out Puts To A Splitter That Only Leads Out To A Pair Of Rca Outputs, Then Run It To The Inputs On The Adapter I Bought To Connect My Ipod....... Is The Best Way To Do It If I Want To Add A New Steroe With Aux Out??????

Although your description is horrible, yes, this will work and you've got the right idea on how you could do it.

No, your steering wheel controls would not work with the new second stereo. The Dice units have this functionality too, and they are both great units, but like Nick mentioned, there's really no reason why you would want to do this. It is possible, just silly.

So with the dice device will the steering wheel controls work?
I kinda wanted to be able to control the mp3 with the steering will instead of manually changing it threw the stereo.
And will the track info pop up on my navagation system screen?
Well I have my alpine stereo from my last car and it also has aux so i can use it for mps and for my ipod.
So yeah guys keep me posted>
Thanks

Your steering wheel controls CANNOT work with the setup you're trying to do. No, you will not get any info on your screen.

BiG1CeS, how about this: tell us what you're trying to do... the end state. We can try to help you get there.

If all you want is iPod control native to your car with steering wheel controls, then all you need is a usa spec or Dice. If you want ipod + text on your navi, you can do that with a Dice unit, but you'll lose XM as an unfortunate side effect.

Is there some other reason why you would want to install the alpine deck? The TSX radio is quite nice, especially if you have a navi which it sounds like you do. The only anemic part of the system is the amp, which you are not addressing here, so I don't see why you would bother to change the HU.

OKay basically This is what i got: Alpine deck and I want to be able to play mp3 and that stereo also has aux in the back of it. And the usa spec does too!
So i just wanna install it in my car being able to control it threw my steering wheel.
Track info on the navi screen would be good also if possible.
So i want to have mp3 compability and also my ipod!
lol yeah im picky but yeah
So is there a better way to do this?
If so what products should i purchase?

I also have a amp and a sub in my trunk pluged up already.
My cousin got bass off the rear speaker though saying thats the best way with this car.

So yeah keep me posted!
Thanks

Bass from the rear speakers isn't the best way, its the easiest way. Watch where you get advice from.

If all you want is aux input + ipod control, I recommend getting just the usa spec. Leave the alpine out of the car, what is it bringing to the table that you don't already have?

If you have an 06+ TSX, your car already has an aux jack in the armrest. You never did mention what year your car is, the only reason I know you have a TSX is because you first posted this question on the TSX boards. In the future, letting people know more pertinent information about what you have and what you want to do will give us a better idea of how to help you, rather than just throwing out a parts list and saying "what can I do with this?"

Good luck!

Actally if you look on the above posts i did mention i have a 2004 tsx with navi.
Since my car is 2004 it doesnt have the aux input in the armrest.
It has a aux option where the cd player is but not the input in the armrest.

ok this is what i want to do..... i want to have my alpine connected in my car but i also want to keep the navigation system in my car.....what is the best way to connect it up......... i dont really care about the ipod i just want to connect the stereo.......... i know how to get power to it i just dont no how to connect all the speakers to the stereo with out having to permanatly remove my navigation system........ thanxs

Alot of what you're trying to do is not possible without some extremely expensive work. The best thing for you to do is just stick to an iPod.

sounds like you already know all you need. the alpine unit, an aux unit, the TSX audio attachement kit (https://acurazine.com/forums/audio-video-electronics-navigation-22/tsx-audio-installation-kit-370974/) and a little know-how and patience, or else go pay someone to install it.

Steering wheel controls are not going to happen. Alpine does not make a adapter (that I know of) that would allow your controls to work.

If you're going to make it look clean, you're going to need to spend around a grand. A new deck, a completely new navigation screen setup just so you can get MP3/iPod text, some harnesses, and I think that's about it.

That's our point. You can't add another stereo & have control from your steering wheel AND keep your navigation. If you add another stereo you will lose your navigation. There is no way around this.
