Upgrade issue -- need input

I have a question about apgrading....

I currently have an Eclipse 8051 CD/HU and I am thinking about
replacing it, mainly due to it not having XM, very poor radio
reception, does not take CD-R's and a clunky user interface.

I am thinking about the Pioneer DEH-P940MP or DEH-P9400MP.

Is this unit comparable in quality? Will I get the same or better
sound quality and features with this unit? Is the radio section
better?

I have never had an EQ, but I am thinking about the Pioneer DEQ-9200,
so that I can tune for all types of music...I listen to everything
from Jazz to Rock to rap to dance to symphony. It seems like a good
quality EQ will improve sounds quality.

The rest of my system will stay the same, namely Diamond Hex 6" front
separate speakers, JL 6x9's in the back, 2-12" W3 JL subs and JL amps.

Thanks so much for the information in advance!!

Regards...Michael
