MDX: Upgrade 2004 Navi cd ROM with 2005

Upgrade 2004 Navi cd ROM with 2005
Has anyone tried to replace a 2004 Navigation cd ROM unit with a 2005?
I want to switch my cdROM unit only! where I live in Canada does not exist on the 2004 Navigation DVD (even in the latest version) but it is on the 2005 DVD.
I noticed that the 05 Navigation unit has 7 plugs in the back and the 04 unit only has 5, but the 5 plugs look to be identical.
I am guessing that the other 2 plugins on the 05 unit are related to the XM Radio system.
Any idea if I can do a direct replacement without running any new wires?
