Question Tweeters Install Help! 2G TL

Im working out where to put my Set of Passive Tweeters in the TL, Some say that they sound the Best in the A-Pillars but I dunno if they will fit in there.

Some others said that they would sound good on the Door Sails but Again I dunno if they will fit.

Any Suggestions ? ? ? Pics would be Awesome!!!

If you have processing, install them in the A-pillars and time align. If you don't consider still doing the A-pillars but TEST and listen (take notes, your ears wont' remember much but your notes will guide you.) And if it doesn't sound cohesive, then consider putting the tweeters as close to the woofers as possible. Doing this will lower the stage but may make the stage more cohesive IF you don't have processing.

I installed my tweets in the A-pillar last week. I don't have processing yet, but i can tell you that it sounds great. And i dont necessarily hear a delay of any kind... Haha, but of course when i install the p880prs my world will likely change.

Its not really about delay you'll hear it is more about coherence. Getting a singer on your dashboard or better yet on your hood, getting instruments out from near your feet and at your windshield or A-pillars or deeper.

Without time alignment, its all just concerted noise. Think about how the original recording was done, think about these speakers and their locations relative to what matters (your ears.) The closer to the source your reproduction is, the more lifelike and real it will feel.

THAT's the goal here.

Problem is...grab a tape measure and measure the PLD between those and the A-pillar area and get back to me.

Path Length Difference.

At higher frequencies getting the PLD's as close to even from left to right as possible is a worthy goal. ESPECIALLY without processing to correct the difference.

www.bcae1.com master this and you can master audio in a hurry.

just took a drill and drilled a big enough hole into the panel so that i could fit them in there snuggly.

Yeah I did end up Using the A-Pillars this is the Result:

They didnt end up As Flush as I liked to Cuz the Back bracket that holds the Little Tweeter touch the Chasis Frame. I need to Buff some of the bracket to Completely Flush it but Im too lazy and it works this way anyway. It will be done........ Eventually.

I tried different heights but the Wheel bump in the dash got in the way from sound if I tried to lower them, Making the Left Tweeter sound Louder than the right.

The difference was Crystal Clear they dont sound harsh at all for the Price I tought they would do, But Nope Highs sound Clear and Hi-fi to my Tastes, They are running @ 75wrms with no Problems.
