TSX OEM HU Bass/Treble Controls
This may seem like a stupid question but please bear with my n00bness. The TSX HU has seperate Bass and Treble controls. How much of the 20Hz-20kHz spectrum does each control? I mean is going +1 on Treble the same as going -1 on Bass and increasing the volume? Or does Bass adjust the lower 1/3-rd and the Treble control the upper 1/3-rd of the spectrum?

Usually, as far as I know, bass controls have a fixed center, like 100hz, and raise the other freqs near it on a curve, like you mentioned. So, my guess is that that is what it's doing. But I'd test to make sure if you need to know.

No, it's still a well-put question.
Alpine used to have some Hus that had a 30 Hz bass center frequency and a lower "Q" (narrower band of effect) and a 15K treble frequency, and a few Hus have used shelf filters instead of symmetrical filters for the treble.
But I don't think that's true for the TSX... and today when testing the response, I forgot to check! : (

Don't have an answer but an observation I made the other day. With the crossover point set at 85Hz (bi-amp setup) and the sub disconnected, I could barely notice a +/-2 change of the base control. Anecdotal yeah, could be the speakers, my ear, whatever, but also could be that the center point is less than 100 Hz. Curious to find out.
