People have just learned to live with the gap? The gap I'm referring to being the cutout for the MP3 player being larger than a DIN sized unit, mostly to the left and right of the unit. By about 10mm. Really, you can't miss it. Anyone?

Don't get pissed yet, but, I have that unit and the kit and a gap. Hopefully someone has a solution.

Yeah, seen it. But it doesn't really help. The gap is pretty obvious in those pics, he didn't do anything to fill the gap, unless there is a follow-up thread.

That looks like crap!!! Damn, starting to get a little upset now. Looks like I might be selling my Acura install kit since I don't want any gap or any kind with my headunit. Everything else in the car is nice and clean, don't want a gap right next to my headuint.

Hmmm, need ideas quick!

I'm sure it would be very popular. Especially, if they could come up with something that will allow you to close the storage bin door.

It would be even more cool if they could put something in that area with a closing door and a slider mechanism so that flip out screen on DVD/Navi HUs like the Pioneer N2 or Alpines could still open, yet they could be hidden away with the door closed when not in use.

I would definitely buy either one of these things

If someone would make a motorized door like they make for the Scion TC...

...then I'd be all over it. As it stands now, I'm sticking with my factory deck & my Eclipse 5444 is sitting on the diningroom table.
