Hi all,

I am a new TSX ('08) owner. I bought my car two days ago. So far, I have noticed two problems:

1 - When I turn the key to ON (II) and after all the normal car diagnosis, I have noticed that the two rear speakers have white noise or ("HMMMMMMM") sound (or buzz sound). It's quite noticeable in the morning especially I haven't start my engine and outside is still pretty quiet. Is that normal for those buzz sound? All other speakers in the car are pretty quiet. Are that two speakers are for bass only? After I started the car, I won't notice much unless I concentrate on it because the engine sound is louder. Can any TSX owner tell me whether it's normal or not?

2. There are second problems. When I turn on Auto Climate Control (let say set to 62F), if the fan in the front engine turn on. I will hear a weird noise "Weeeeeea" for around 2 seconds and then gone. Then it happens again if the fan turn on again. It's weird. Did anyone has any experience like that?

1- rear door buzzing sound - not normal. there is a staticy white noise sound emanating from all speakers when the stereo is on, but faint. i wouldn't expect it to be different from front to back unless your fader setting is all the way back.

Perhaps you just need to disconnect and reconnect speakers and amp connectors.

2- I'll have to attempt this before i can reply. The audio section is a bit of an antenna. It picks up alternator whine so i wouldn't be surprised to find out the climate controls effect it to. but this disturbances should be rather faint compared to listening level of 12.

PS. My experience is with the '04 tsx... don't know what if anything is different with the '08

Thanks for your reply. For issue #2, I even not sure where the sounds come from. But I can hear that clearly in the cabin. It might not come from the speaker. What even worse is: I don't hear that noise today. I will visit the dealer tomorrow and see whether they have any idea. But thanks again for your help!

Have the dealer check the grounds to the amp, HU, Climate control, Fan blower, dash and engine block. That popping is not right and is likely a bad ground.
