too much bass?

I want to put in 3 10"s in my 2004 TSX-is this gonna be too much bass? I have 1 12" right now and it isn't enough. TSX's have a huge problem with speaker rattle so i am getting the whole car dynamatted along with the install but I am worried 3 10s will be way too much-any opinions?

This is like saying "will 19"s look good on my car?"

Some will , some won't.

well it all depends what you are looking for? I personally would think that 3 10's would through off the balance of ur sound system. Do you have aftermarket components as well or just amp/sub? Maybe you might want to consider a different brand 12? its up to you.

Why do you think you'll get that much more bass out of 3 10"? Maybe try a different sub and amp. There are some 12" out there that sound just as good, if not better, than 3 10". You just need to feed it the right amount of power.

MORE is better.. however in this case i think we need to know alot more about your system... do you just have the subs and the rest if factory?

3-10's will push way more air than say 1-12.. however 2-12's will push more air and sound louder. 3 -10's for the most part will be more accurate.. but what are you going for?

Do you just want a loud BOOm.. hell if that is the case get 1-15 and put a ton of power on it.. put it in a ported box and you are good. It will sound OK.. but if you aren't going for SQ then who cares?

Do you want the cars next to you to shake or what is your goal here?

How big an amp we talking?

12 inch isn't enough for you...

I have 1x10 kicker compvr... w/ a rockford amp...

I set the volume and the boost around 3/10...

I think something should be wrong with your set up or something...

Plus, I think 3x10's would be very very heavy stuff for TSX...

It does depend, It all depends on the quality of the 10's plus how many watts you will be pushing through your 10's. I just upgraded from 2 10's to 2 12's because they're higher wattage, and I can push more sound through them

Why don't you buy an inline limiter for your preamp sub output?? That way you could go from 0db (no output) to +8-12db with the turn of a knob.....
